At 8:19 p.m., hours on May 24, 2015, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) received a 911 call reporting an auto versus bicycle on Sunburst Ave., near Jericho Way, in Joshua Tree. CHP and paramedics arrived to find a 58 year old male resident of Joshua Tree with major injuries. He was pronounced dead minutes later.
