Use Safety When Engaging in Snow Sports

Southern California, Wrightwood Ski Resort has re-opened this past week and is expecting another 18 inches of snow over the weekend.  Check out the link for the conditions:

Be reminded to used due care and wear appropriate equipment, especially a helmet, when engaging in any snow sport.  According to the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA): During the past 10 years, about 41.5 people have died skiing/snowboarding per year on average, and serious injuries (paralysis, serious head, and other injuries) occur at the rate of about 44.7 per year.

Resorts are not liable for any harm to you while participating in a sport or recreational activity unless you can show the resort acted intentionally or recklessly to injure you. For more on this law, see:
